Ted Lamar "Shorty" Wise of Rockford departed this earthly life November 6, 2022. He was born April 6, 1961 in Moultrie, Georgia the son of George and Clara Wise. Ted lived in Rockford since 1988 coming from Moultrie. He was a Jack of all trades in lawn care, painting, car repair and where ever he could help someone. Ted graduated Colquitt County High School in Moultrie.

Ted leaves to cherish many memories, his son, Craig Wise; daughter, Stacey Wise; 8 grandchildren, Kamaijah, Emporess, Keiwonne, Thailand, Kwaiveon, Iyanna, Kamiya  & Sincere; one great grandson, Xy'meir; four brothers, Lawrence, Tim, Randy and Denise (Debra) Wise; two sisters, Lorann Dent and Melinda Wise; a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents; brothers, Thomas Wise; and sister Becky Durham.

Services will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 19, 2022 at Carl E. Ponds Funeral Home Inc. 200 N. Johnston Ave. Visitation 8:00 a.m. until the time of service.
