Teresa Joyce Neal, of Rockford departed this earthly life December 1, 2025. She was born December 14, 1967 in Warren, Arkansas the daughter Jesse and Nettie Neal.  Teresa lived in Rockford since 1969 coming from Arkansas. She married Timothy Lockett April 25, 2019. Teresa grew up in Macedonia Baptist Church.  She graduated from West High School class of 1985 and later received her associates degree.

Teresa leaves to cherish many loving memories, her husband Timothy Lockett; daughter, Breanna Porchia-Neal; two sons, Brandon and Breon Neal;  five grandchildren, Imani, Amari, Aubrey, Eli and Breon Janiya; mother, Nettie Neal; three sisters, Gwendolyn (Willie) Buie, Angela  (Gregory) Neal and Latoya (Emmanuel) Neal-Clark; a host of nieces, nephews cousins other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her father; and brother Lamar Neal.

Services will be held 12:00 noon Wednesday, December 17, 2025 at Carl E. Ponds Funeral Home 200 N. Johnston Ave. Burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
