Theodore Keith "Teddy" Staton, of Rockford departed this earthly life March 1, 2026. He was born December 15, 1962 in Rockford, IL the son of Booker and Della Staton. He married the former Wanda Allen, January 31, 1980. Theodore was a Mason many years.  He attended West High School later to receive his G.E.D.  Theodore was a Veteran of the U.S. Army.

Theordore leaves to cherish many loving memories, his wife Wanda Staton; three daughters, Tenika (Mitchell) Fowler, Natasha Staton and Abra ( Kalan ) Evans; six grandchildren; Daija, Maki, Shamire, Halston Jr., Demeryus, Viya; three sisters, Robin Staton, Linda Johnson and Shirley Williams; a host of other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents; grandson, Mitchell Fowler Jr; and sister, Betty Denton.

Memorial service will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday, March 12, 2026 at Carl E. Ponds Funeral Home Inc. 200 N. Johnston Ave. Burial in Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery. Doors will be open from 12:00 noon until the time of service.
