Timothy Townsend of Rockford departed this earthly life December 10, 2021. He was born May 22, 1961 in Jackson, MS the son of Lillie Hillie and Duke Bailey. Timothy  lived in Rockford  since 1998 coming from Chicago. He married Barbara Jean Collins February 14, 20  . He was employed as a butcher by Johnsonville in Watertown, WI. Timothy was a member of Faith Temple Church. He graduated from Mississippi schools, later to attend college.

Timothy leaves to cherish many memories, his wife, Barbara Jean; three sisters, Ann, Cheryl and Shawn Townsend; four brothers, Johnnie, Robby (Corita) Townsend, Kenneth and Ronald Townsend; a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents; two sisters, Jeanette and Patricia Townsend; and brother, Barney R. Townsend.

Memorial Services will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 20, 2021 at Carl E. Ponds Funeral Home Inc. 200 N. Johnston Ave.
