Valrese Elena Hallom of Rockford departed this earthly life October 6, 2026 in her home. She was born February 14, 1959 in Chicago, IL the daughter of K.C. and Velma Blandin. Valrese lived 27 years in Rockford coming from Chicago, IL. She married Charles Hallom. She was employed by Connexus 7 years. Valrese graduated from North Shore High School and received her Bachelors Degree from Judson University. She was a member of Soar Assembly. Valrese volunteered for Narcotics Anonymous at Rosecrance, Rockford Rescue Mission, and the Winnebago County Jail.

Valrese leaves to cherish many memories, two daughters, Thatisha Blandin (Vernon Morrow), and Frances Farmer (Antwaine Jr.); grandchildren, Darionte, Jermaine Jr., Jaevon, Jermesha, Mariah, Kayla, Kenya and Trinity; seven great grandchildren; sister, Chaundra Gore and brother, Samuel Blandin; step mother, Anne Blandin; special friends Derrick Macon and William Harris a host of other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents, sisters Sandra Blandin and Diane McIntee and son Jermaine and daughter Maryanna Hayes a great grand baby, Ja’siah.

Services will be held 1:00 p.m. October 23, 2023 at Soar Assembly 604 Salter Ave. Visitation 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
