Veronica "Lady Gorgeous" Brown, of Rockford departed this earthly life April 4, 2024. She was born February 24, 1966 in Rockford the daughter of Sadie Brown and Ronald Denny. Veronica was employed by Burger King many years before becoming ill. She attended Living Faith Tabernacle, under the leadership of Elder James F. Stanley. Veronica had a strong passion for worshipping and praising God. She would listen to her Gospel music, writing her own lyrics. You could find Veronica enjoying her nieces and nephews as if they were her own and inspiring each one of them with the word of God. Veronicas main focus was to love all, and making the right decisions to see Jesus. She graduated from West High School, where she participated in the West Warriors Chorus.

Veronica leaves to cherish many loving memories, her mother, Sadie Brown; three sisters, Teresa D. Brown, Colleen Brown and Thomascine Brown of Rockford; two brothers, Ronnie Brown and Terry (Tammy) Brown; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; including two special nephews, Floydell Brown and Rico Turner; special niece, Sadie Turner and brother in law, Robert Turner. She was predeceased by her father, Ronald Denny; brother Alvin Brown and nephew Jamie Rogers.

Services will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 13, 2024 at Living Faith Tabernacle 530 8th Street. Burial in Cedar Bluff cemetery. Visitation will be held 8:00 a.m. until the time of service. Arrangements completed by Carl E. Ponds Funeral Home Inc. 200 N. Johnston Ave.
