Veronica Linette Henderson of Rockford departed this earthly life August 12, 2021.  She was born  February 9, 1972 in Rockford the daughter of Joe May Henderson and Howard Kitchen. She was a member of Christ The Carpenter United Methodist Church.  Veronica attended East High school.

Veronica leaves to cherish many loving memories, two daughters, Maleac Hubbard and Schatavius Alston; son, Stefin Alston; three grandchildren, Malayzja, Malani and Makalia Price; father, Howard Kitchen; companion of many years, Jerome Dock; two sisters, Schata Henderson and Brandy (Leroy) Shipp; brother Marquess Henderson; one niece, Shantel Brewer; a host of other relatives and friends including godson, Chandon Marshall.

Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August  28, 2021 at Hope Fellowship 1135. Burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Arrangements completed by Carl E. Ponds Funeral Home 200 N. Johnston Ave.
