Vickie Diane Dowthard of Rockford departed this earthly life May 21, 2024. She was born November 24, 1954 in Rockford, IL the daughter of Samuel and Lorene Meadows. Vickie married Leonard Dowthard, in Rockford, March 31, 1984. She was self employed as a child care provider called Dowthards Day Care. Vickie attended Auburn High School, later to receive her G.E.D. and attended Rock Valley College.

Vickie leaves to cherish many loving memories, her husband Leonard; three daughters, Nakehia and Tante Meadows and Mechole Sledge; three sons, Samuel LaMont Meadows, Leo Dowthard IV;  and Leonard Williams; 19 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; mother, Lorene Baxter; and step mother, Ernestine Gray;  two sisters, Janice Meadows and Kristy Dismuke; six brothers, Larry Walker, Dennis (Patricia) Meadows, Doyle Meadows, Kem Jones, Jay Jay Jones, and James Gray; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends including special niece, Shelese Meadows. She was predeceased by her father, Samuel Meadows; son, Dominic Williams; and brothers, Marcus and Javette Jones.

Services will be held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, June  5, 2024 at Christian Union Full Gospel Ministries 1705 Kilburn Ave.  Visitation 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
