Wesley Stuart "Big Wes" Wilson, of Rockford departed this earthly life April 16, 2025. He was born May 28, 1982 in Rockford the son of Stuart and Julie Wilson. Wesley was employed as a training supervisor eight years by Lowes Distribution Center and one year at WishHope in Broadhead, WI. where he made a lasting impression. He participated in Mixed Martial Arts.  Wesley attended Guilford High School, later to receive his GED and attended Rockford Career College.

Wesley leaves to cherish many loving memories, three sons, Jerimiah Sockwell Wilson, Nehemiah Sockwell Wilson, Justin Alvarado; two daughters, Courteney Sockwell Wilson and Jocelyn Alvarado; bonus children, Zachariah, Khalil and Zaire Sockwell; parents, Stuart and Julie Wilson; two sisters, Tiffany Scott and Dionnica Wilson; three brothers, Dallas and Russell Wilson, Victor (Sydney) Tilson; girlfriend, Timika Sockwell; special cousin who he loved like a sister, Melynda Seaton; and special cousin Danielle Wilson; a host of other relatives and friends; including best friends, Tywan Smith and Cornell Wright. He was predeceased by his maternal and paternal grand parents, aunts, Carolyn Wilson and Jeanne Cornn; and uncle Kenneth Wilson; cousins Derrick Ellis and Latanya McGrone.

Services will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday,  April 26, 2025 at Carl E. Ponds Funeral Home Inc. 200 N. Johnston Ave. Visitation will be held 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
