William Henry Cox Jr., of Rockford departed this earthly life July 27, 2023. He was born March 22, 1955 in Rockford the son of Marion Carter and William Cox Sr. William was employed as a laborer by Perkins Restaurant 29 years. He was a member of Christian Union Full Gospel Baptist Church, serving on the Usher Board or where ever needed. William Graduated from Page Park School.

William leaves to cherish many loving memories, his mother, Marion Gregory; brother,  Maurice Cox; special cousins, Johnnie, Steven, Bessie, Michele and Alfreda Turner and Ronald Carter, Deedee Pryor and a host of other cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his father William H. Cox Sr.

Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 8, 2023 at Christian Unions Full Gospel Church 1705 Kilburn Ave.  Burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Arrangements completed by Carl E. Ponds Funeral Home Inc. 200 N. Johnston Ave.
