Yvonne "Penny" Yance of Rockford departed this earthly life January 21, 2022. She was born August 19 1954 in Chicago, IL. Yvonne lived in Rockford since October of 2010 coming from Chicago. She was employed as a case manager assistant by the State of Illinois, Public Assistance Office, 25 years before retiring. Yvonne was a member of Freedom Church. She graduated from Cooley High High School in Chicago.

Yvonne leaves to cherish many loving memories, her companion of many years, Patrick Bates; two sons, Greg Yance and Felix A. Yance; daughter, Crystal T. Yance; 19 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; three sisters, Geraldine Yance, Willie Mae Walker and Yvetta (Anthony) Jefferson; four brothers, Edward Yance, Charles David (Tammy) Yance, Joseph (Sharon) Yance and James Yance a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents; brother, Jerry Yance; and sister Yolanda Yance;

Memorial Service will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January  26, 2022 at Carl E. Ponds Funeral Home Inc. 200 N. Johnston Ave.  Doors will be open from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
