Martavius Tyrese " Tay Tay" Lewers , of Rockford departed this life July 29, 2015. He was born August 17, 1999 in Rockford the son of Felisa Lewers and Maurice T. Lewers Sr.. Martavius was a member of Logos International where he formerly served in the choir. He attended Auburn High School.
Martavius leaves to cherish many loving memories, his parents, Felisa and Maurice; five sisters, Markisha Eldridge, Sharetha ( Lewis) Hopson, Eboni Eldridge, Nikia and Genesis Harris; two brothers, Maurice T. Lewers Jr. and Djaun Maclin; maternal grandparents, Dorothy and Henry Eldridge; a host of aunts, uncles other relatives and friends including special friend Emanuel Keller. He was predeceased by his sister, Tamika Eldridge and paternal grandparents, Virginia Lewers and Willie Brown.
Services will be held 12:00noon Friday, August 7, 2015 at St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church 2919 19th Street. Burial in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held 10:00a.m. until the time of service. Arrangements completed by Carl E. Ponds Funeral Home 2429 W. State St.
